The Situation
The Arizona Association of Industries (AAI) was established to increase the growth and competitiveness of Arizona's manufacturers through legislative, political, and regulatory advocacy and to provide those manufacturers with education and cost-effective services. The membership of AAI, numbering more than 250, includes many of Arizona's most prestigious manufacturing companies from the largest employers to the smallest businesses.
The Challenge
AAI already had an online presence established. The Web site contained a variety of information including event calendars, member areas, directories and newsletters – all content in need of regular updating. Also, email newsletters were produced and disseminated but lacked efficiency features, such as tracking and simplified member management.
Previously, AAI had to depend on an outside IT vendor or use of a bare-bones, unintuitive administration interface to make updated content live. With heavy updating needs, the process was cumbersome and often less than optimal. AAI needed to take external entities out of the loop and remove Web site updating as an obstacle to its communications effort.
The Response
Essemble offered a solution centered on our essembleSBS software suite. Our team integrated the essembleSBS content management and email marketing tools into the AAI Web site. During integration, custom modules were developed providing enhanced member roster management and an event calendar system. These modules were easily rolled into the administration interface for AAI to update and manage its content.
The Result
The AAI Web site realized strong gains in efficiency and cost savings. In-house personnel are now able to keep multiple components of content updated, allowing AAI to serve members more quickly and easily using the Internet.
