When the principals of Essemble started in the IT solutions business back in 1999 they quickly became aware of a disturbing, albeit profitable trend. Many businesses were tragically immersed in broken and often time’s confrontational relationships with outside technology firms who, whether contrived or by default, owned an inordinate amount of control over the intellectual property, management, and support of business critical technology. Assisting these organizations in extricating themselves from the intolerable conditions only served to reinforce in the minds of the Essemble executives a very valuable lesson. Teaching a man to fish is not necessarily something that will feed him for a lifetime. Showing him how to determine where the fish are, then providing him a means to freely move to where they’re biting…that’s the trick.
As a result of successfully engaging in these “rescue mission” projects, saving our clients substantial time and investment, and subsequently experiencing first hand the egregious disservice perpetrated on them, our path was made clear as crystal.
